Meet Our Board Members

Wendy Cowan
President / CEO
She grew up in Fargo, Went to school at Roosevelt elementary, and Ben Franklin High after that I took my GED.
Her first job was at Moorhead school dist. Working at Moorhead Sr. After that she has worked cleaning hotels, homes, nursing homes, working in manufacturing jobs at Integrity windows, Minkota windows, Dakota Timber, JSM woodworks, D&M industries, and is currently at Braaten cabinets.
She was working at NDSU when she started Jazzy & Mumbos animal aid thrift store. She has a passion and a mission to help animals, after a personal experience.
She has been married to her soul mate for 24 years. She has 3 children, her oldest daughter is in nursing school, her son enlisted in the Navy and is currently stationed in Georgia, her youngest is still in school at Central Cass in Casselton ND. She also has 3 grandsons, Oakley, Finley and Easton.
She lives on a hobby farm she bought for her horse of 20 years. Since then she has had a Shetland pony (who has passed), many chickens & ducks (she doesn't eat them as they are pets), cats, dogs, and donkeys. She also has 3 guinea pigs.
She loves animals and believes they should be treated with respect.

Audery Farol
Vice President
Audrey grew up in Winnipeg, Kansas and Minnesota later settling in the Dakota's. After attending the University of North Dakota Grand Forks and earning a BA in Business Administration, she moved to Fargo and worked for the US Postal Service for over 32 years. Audrey worked as a Senior Administrative Assistant within the US Postal Service and has proven success in leadership, operations and organizational development. She brings to the table years of customer service experience and community involvement and has been a volunteer at Jazzy & Mumbo's Animal Aid Thrift Store for 2 1/2 years. She lives in Fargo with her family, 2 dogs, tortoise Sophie and keeps busy managing the stable of racehorses the family co-owns as well as managing her late father's office building. Audrey founded the paranormal team "Fargo Ghost Chasers " over 15 years ago and travels with the team to local as well as out of state historical sites. She enjoys volunteering, reading, going to rummage sales, photography, hiking, going to the movies and spending time with friends and family.

Dorothy Vincent
Treasurer
Dorothy lives with her husband Larry Vincent in Felton MN. they have been married for over thirty years and have a combined family of three adult daughter, nine grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. She has been retired after 32 years with the title of Quality Improvement/Behavioral Specialist for The Mentor Corporation since 2018. She has been spending her retirement doing the things she loves: spending time with her family, entertaining in "The Family Circle Band", traveling, doing crafts such as making pillows etc. and volunteering. She loves to bake and share and spend summer time at their camper on North Twin Lake.

Sharon Collett

Sharon Kaye Collett 50 yr old divorce with 2 adult children along with 3 grandchildren. I have lived in the F-M area for 30yrs I grow up in Detroit lakes where I graduated. I've worked various jobs until I landed my dream job Fedex Express where I have worked for 18 half yr. About 2 half years ago I started volunteering at Jazzy and Mumbo second hand store witch I am very proud too. I believe in what it stands for helping animals. In my off time I spend time with animals and grandchildren. I have always had a dog in my life.

Alissa R. Farol
A native of Fargo, North Dakota, Alissa graduated from Fargo South High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies and Sociology from the University of North Dakota. From there, she earned her law degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and during that time, was the sitting President of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
After graduating law school, Alissa took a position as an Associate Attorney at Neustel Law Offices, a Fargo firm that specializes in intellectual property matters, such as federal trademark, patent, and copyright infringement litigation and services. Some time later, she was offered a position as Assistant City Attorney and City Prosecutor for the City of Fargo. Alissa has held that position for over four years, and she loves representing the City on countless projects and numerous criminal and civil matters.
Alissa is happily engaged and living in West Fargo, North Dakota with her four cats.
